Creativity, Dignity, and Joy.

At the Raleigh Music Collective, students’ lives are transformed through excellent, accessible, and equitable music education.

Why we exist

We believe music education is an incredible tool to radically transform children’s lives for the better.

Whether a student is playing in an orchestra at our núcleo, learning their first string instrument at a community hub, or working one on one in our lessons studio, our students get to thrive in a supportive community regardless of background.

In their words

From our community

Over the years, I have been a part of the Raleigh Music Collective and it has made such a positive impact on my life and to others. Its unwavering dedication to the art of music and its positive impact on our community is truly praiseworthy. I’ve never seen so much growth from my playing skills from any other program, and I’m so grateful to be around such amazing musicians.

Jennifer R.

Violinist

RMC is one of the most amazing programs I’ve been in. Many new students are coming through and making new friends. Our teachers have been working so hard to provide us instruments and many other things too.

Daniel P.

Violinist

The Raleigh Music Collective teachers are so amazing at what they do because they pick up on and develop social, emotional, and physical parts of a student. Through music learning, our refugee students get to grow in their holistic education, especially their social and physical skills. It not only helps them become better students, but better people.
